"Perfect" Marriage

What I mean for perfection is that a good marriage does not require 2 perfect people. But it requires 2 people having a willing mind and heart to archive that perfection, someday.

In the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we believe that one of the blessings of getting sealed is the opportunity to stay forever with that person, even after death.

The temple sealing rooms are always wonderful.

Temple ordinances are sacred but no secret. Sealing or a Temple marriage is performed by someone who has the authority pertaining to do such a great ordinance. A sealing is like a contract between 3: God and each party.

They contain great symbolism that reminds us of the love God has for us.

One symbolism is the groom and bride kneeling in the altar. The sealer pronounces some unique words and seals the couple as husband and wife.

He does not say "until death do us part" but he says "for this time and for all eternity"

Elder Oaks said, "The kind of marriage required for exaltation — eternal in duration and God-like in quality — does not contemplate divorce. In the temple of the Lord, couples are married for all eternity."

My husband and I got sealed on August 14th, 2019

It was an incredible experience. My family and some friends came from all different places. We felt the Holy Ghost really strong when we performed that sacred ordinance. We were grateful for that opportunity we had. We did not worry about anything. We were focused on how amazing it was. WE LOVED IT! It is an experience I will not forget. How much love we felt for God and each other.

So... after a sealing, is everything done?

Of course not! We still have to keep working hard so our marriage works, we still have to go to church, be true and faithful to our covenants that we made in the temple, we still have to love each other and make sacrifices, we still have to remember.

Remember that day, remember our love, our covenants and remember the tender mercies of the Lord.
